Bonefish
The
key to a bone fishery having both quality and plentiful populations
is a combination of wadeable flats, proximity to deeper water, and
abundant forage. Sandy Point has so many properly positioned flats
of this kind, that it offers the fly fisher many options - for example,
if the day becomes windy. Our guides are local fisherman, skilled
at finding fish and placing you in perfect position for that cast
to a trophy. If you'd rather fish for numbers to hone your "hooking
and playing" skills, there are very large flats that host large
schools of smaller fish. For novices, fishing the "muds"
is a sure way to see lots of action. Download

Bonefish outfit and flies.
Permit
Although
most our guests come for the Bonefish, we always recommend they
bring gear and flies for Permit as well. Most likely you've had
the experience of hooking into a Permit on bone fishing gear, just
to wish you had an 8 or 10 weight rod and large arbor reel! Seriously,
often we see Permit tailing on flats we cruise to in the morning,
so being ready might mean you take a large Permit! Download

Permit outfit and flies.
Offshore
and Reef Species
Although
our packages are based on flats fishing, you also have the option
to fish deeper water for reef species like mutton snapper, groupers,
yellow tail, jacks, and other easy-to-catch species. You'll find
Barracuda on these reefs as well as in the waters adjacent to the
flats. Go further out and fish for king mackerel, wahoo, or dorado.
